Each lesson is designed to support both horse and rider as individuals while strengthening their partnership as a team. Sessions are thoughtful, progressive, and tailored to where you and your horse are that day — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
You can expect:
By the end of each session, you should feel more connected to your horse, clearer in your communication, and confident in the next steps of your training.
I work with riders who value partnership, patience, and thoughtful training. Whether you’re new to dressage or looking to deepen your connection with your horse, you’ll fit well here if you want to understand your horse — not just control them.
Riders Who Want to Learn – Open, curious, and willing to grow.
Horses Who Need Confidence or Clarity – Sensitive, tense, or just needing a solid foundation.
Partnership-Focused Goals – For those wanting a willing, relaxed, and connected horse.
Owners Who Care About Welfare – Prioritizing your horse’s physical comfort, mental confidence, and emotional well-being as much as performance.
Not the Right Fit If…
Your priority is quick results, pushing through tension, or training methods that rely on force rather than understanding.
Hi, I’m Kelly Garrity, a dressage and natural horsemanship trainer dedicated to creating harmony between horse and rider. My passion is helping riders build relaxed, willing, and connected partners through clarity, kindness, and thoughtful communication.
I have spent 30 years studying both classical dressage and natural horsemanship, learning how to blend correct biomechanics, mental understanding, and emotional awareness into every lesson. My approach always starts with the horse’s perspective, ensuring their physical comfort, mental confidence, and emotional well-being are at the forefront of training.
I am an FEI rider currently competing at Prix St. George and have recently completed Part A of the USDF “L” Education Program, with Part B planned.
I love working with horses and riders of all levels — from those just beginning their partnership to those refining advanced work. My goal is simple: to guide you and your horse toward a confident, trusting, and joyful connection that makes every ride a pleasure.
